Enhanced repetition codes for the cross-platform comparison of progress towards fault-tolerance

Abstract: Achieving fault-tolerance will require a strong relationship between the hardware and the protocols used. Different approaches will therefore naturally have tailored proof-of-principle experiments to benchmark progress.
