“…Phosphatidylcholine and Tween 20 are classic transfersomal ingredients [ 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 ]. In addition to Tween 20, other non-ionic surfactants can also be included in the transfersome composition: sodium deoxycholate, sorbitan monooleate (Span 80), polysorbate 80 (Tween 80) [ 31 , 32 , 33 ], etc.…”

“…Due to transfersome extrusion through a polycarbonate membrane with a pore size of 100 nm, the hydrodynamic diameter of the systems was maintained at 100–120 nm ( Table 1 ). It should be noted that the addition of a non-ionic surfactant to liposomes led to a decrease in the transfersome size, probably due to the formation of mixed micelles, which leads to a decrease in phospholipid monomers and compaction of aggregates [ 30 , 35 , 36 ]. According to the results, the size of the vesicles slightly increased with increasing concentration of C n PB compared with classical transfersomes, and approached the size of PC liposomes.…”
