Enhanced Photocatalytic Reduction of U(VI) on SrTiO3/ g‐C3N4Composites : Synergistic Interaction

Abstract: Perovskite‐based composites have been widely investigated in photocatalysis due to their narrow bandgap width and high separation efficiency of photogenerated charges. Herein, the novel perovskite/carbon nitride heterojunction (SrTiO3/g‐C3N4) was synthesized by a simple calcination method and then was applied in the photocatalytic reduction of U(VI) from aqueous solutions. The characterizations indicated that incorporation of SrTiO3 increased the charge separation efficiency and light absorption range, while i… Show more

“…Thus, we chose pH 3.3 as the optimal reaction pH values. Methanol as the hole sacrifice reagent was beneficial to the photocatalytic reduction of U(VI). , As illustrated in Figure c, compound 1 exhibits negligible photocatalytic activity in the absence of methanol, which may be ascribed to the lower separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers. When methanol is added, the photocatalytic activity of compound 1 is clearly improved.…”
