“…MnO2 at 2θ = 28°, 37°, 42°, 56°, and 72° have obvious characteristic peaks, and the diffraction peaks are sharp, consistent with the standard card (JCPDS 81-2261) β-MnO2. The intensity of MnO2 peak in the complex decreases, which may be due to the strong characteristic peak of ZnO, which masks the peak of MnO2 and leads to the weakening of MnO2 diffraction intensity [41]. XRD patterns indicate that we successfully synthesized ZnO-C/MnO2 composites with relatively good crystallinity.…”

“…The efficiency of photoinduced carrier migration, transfer, and separation during the photocatalytic degradation process was examined using photoluminescence (PL) spectra [57]. PL emission usually results from photoexcited electron-hole pairs recombining [58].…”

“…To identify the active species during photocatalysis, trapping experiments were carried out in the 1%wt-FeVO4/Bi4O5Br2 reaction system. Isopropyl alcohol (IPA), benzoquinone (BQ) or ascorbic acid (ASC), and ammonium oxalate (AO) with 1 mmol L −1 were added to the reaction solutions to scavenge hydroxyl radicals (•OH), superoxide radicals (•O2 − ), and holes (h + ), respectively [45][46][47]. The addition of BQ and AO critically suppressed the BPA photodegradation efficiency (Figure 9(a)).…”
