Enhanced Performances of SAC-OCDMA System by Using Polarization Encoding

Abstract: This article presents a novel encoder technique of spectral amplitude coded multiple access (SAC-OCDMA) systems. The proposed technique is based on two orthogonal polarization states of the same one dimensional optical code. This method is usually applied to increase the number of simultaneous users in a network, and it can double the number of potential users against the one-dimensional code. The results obtained in this work show that optical zero cross-correlation code can accommodate more users simultaneou… Show more

“…The system WDM-XGPON obtained a good results because the BER less than SCM-XGPON. The 64-QAM for WDM at 49 km the bit error rate less than 10-9 [10] acceptable level while the BER for 64-QAM for SCM less than 10-9 at 46 km. This variation of power received with fiber has been for three types of modulation 4-QAM, 16-QAM and 64-QAM shows in Figs.…”

“…The main objective of the RoF system is to distribute broadband signals to distributed base stations for wireless access using an optical access network [12]. The PON combination with RoF technology provides a high capacity solution and high data rate [10]. Waveform Division Multiplexing (WDM) The basic concept of WDM technology is to combine multi-channel optical with different wavelengths that come from different optical sources to a single fiber through multiple transmitters used on the sender side as well as multiplexer removal tools on the side of the receiver to split WDM channels [11].…”

“…For QPSK modulation, the demodulator needs to compute the log of the LLRs on the x 0 and x 1 coded bits for each symbol at the input. The L-value of the bit x 0 conditioned at the output of the adapted filter can be calculated as follows: [17], PIIN is eliminated [18], it is closely related to the MAI due to the overlapping of spectral from the different users [19,20], In the context of OWCs, noise is considered to be a combination of major factors, shot noise and interference noise, the dominant source of noise is the receiver thermal noise, which can be modeled as additive and Gaussian [21]…”
