AuNPs monolayer doping Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT : PSS) film on interdigitated electrode had been fabricated into AuNPs/PEDOT : PSS Janus film sensor to detect hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S). The results show that the Janus film sensors have a wide measurement range of H 2 S concentration. The sensitivity of PEDOT : PSS/AuNPs sensor grows up with the thickness of Janus film increases. The resistance response of AuNPs Janus film was affected little by the rough surface states of PEDOT : PSS film. In addition, the PEDOT : PSS/AuNPs film sensor had been used again to detect H 2 S. This work presents a platform to inspire a novel high sensitive chemiresistive sensor via nanoparticles monolayer.

A flexible and transparent poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) film was doped with a silver nanowire (AgNW)-integrated graphene (GR) layer to improve the conductivity, which enhanced the sensitivity of the chemiresistive sensor for detection of hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S). The sheet resistance and transmittance of AgNWs/GR and AgNWs/GR/PEDOT:PSS films remain stable during more than 25 days in a room environment. The AgNWs/GR and AgNWs/GR/ PEDOT:PSS films show great flexibility that the sheet resistance remains stable after bending 1000 times. The AgNWs and PEDOT:PSS isolated by the GR film can be used repeatedly in H 2 S detection, which shows that the AgNW layer-doping PEDOT:PSS film has great potential ability in H 2 S detection. In addition, the bending test has little effect on the response of the AgNWs/GR/PEDOT:PSS film and the transmittance of AgNWs/GR/ PEDOT:PSS change a little after reaction with H 2 S due to addition of GR. This work presents a platform to inspire AgNW layer-doping PEDOT:PSS materials for highly sensitive chemiresistive sensor.

Facile Surface Modification of Ultrathin Gold Nanowires Film with Hydrogen Sulfide for Improvement of Stability

Ultrathin gold nanowires (AuNWs) have an important role and promising applications in areas of wearable sensors, matter detection, and flexible transparent electronic materials. But oleylamine (OAm) ligand on the ultrathin AuNWs surface leads to high junction resistance and the inherent Rayleigh instability leads to decomposition into gold spheres within a few days. To eliminate these two disadvantages, herein, the implementation of one facile H2S gas treatment method to improve the conductivity and stability of ultrathin AuNWs is tried. The conductivity of AuNWs on the interdigital electrode can be improved by 4 × 107 times because the AuNWs became bent and cross‐linked, due to the H2S exchange of the ligand OAm. In addition, the conductivity of the three‐layer ultrathin AuNW film on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) can be improved by at least 2000 times. The ultrafine structure of AuNWs can be maintained for more than 1 week at room temperature, which attributes to H2S that can protect the surface structure of AuNWs. The findings highlight a new method of the ultrathin AuNWs for exceeding improvement in electronic conduction and stability.
