Enhanced electrical and thermal properties of semi-conductive PANI-CNCs with surface modified CNCs

Abstract: Biodegradable surface-modified CNCs were synthesized found high dispersibility and flexibility. Polyaniline-doped CNCs nanocomposites were exhibited high conductivity and thermal stability that may be promising for flexible semiconductors.

“…A viable strategy is to develop bio-based polymer materials as alternatives to these materials to minimize the use of non-biodegradable polymers [ 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 ]. Considering these, the key to biodegradable polymer-based foams can be used in a wide range of applications, owing to their biocompatibility [ 16 , 17 ], biodegradability, and renewability process [ 18 ].…”

“…14,15 PANI, on the other hand, has disadvantages related to its poor solubility in solutions, which limiting its possible applications in the industrial sector. 16,17 Many studies have been conducted in order to overcome PANI's solubility in water and degradation rate by using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) to create a stable PANI dispersion. 18 PVA, in instance, has high mechanical strength and chemical endurance, making it a popular choice to be used as additive.…”
