Enhanced beamforming scheme for MIMO downlink transmission

Abstract: This paper investigates an enhanced beamforming scheme for MIMO downlink transmission. The proposed scheme combines transmit beamforming with space-time block code (STBC), which has the advantages of both techniques. The scheme uses dual antenna array groups to achieve stable performance and utilizes the uplink direction of arrival (DOA) to perform transmit beamforming.
