<p class="0abstract"><span lang="EN-US">Mobile ad hoc Networks researchers need to apply specific parameters in the simulation tools chosen to analyze and discuss their results. The challenge faced by multiple authors is on how to decide on the choice of particular parameters. A wrong choice could lead to a no credible result and a doubtful result by other researchers. A best practice is to follow what other authors are using as input parameters in their paper. This review analyses 72 proceeding papers and articles in different digital libraries: google scholar, IEEE Xplore, Elsevier, Springer, and snowball from 2010-2020. We present the result of our survey in this paper. We recommend the input parameters research should use base on the high utilization. Our review will also help the community in MANET and Internet gateway to improve the credibility of the input parameters.</span></p>

Although a standalone and isolated mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is practical in many scenarios, integration with the Internet is much more advantageous. The integration of a MANET with the Internet provides MANET users with Internet access and hence increases the scope of the MANET application. In addition, the Internet can benefit from this integration by an extension of the network coverage area. However, the integration of heterogeneous networks raises many issues. To overcome the incompatibilities between different architectures, gateways are used. This paper proposes a lightweight integration scheme for a MANET and the wider Internet, based on the optimized link state routing (OLSR). OLSR routing messages are reengineered and optimized to meet the needs of integration without involving additional routing messages for gateway discovery. The compulsory registration of a MANET node with a gateway node in a traditional integration is not required in the proposed approach, meaning that nodes can move freely within the local MANET with no disruption in the connection to another node in the external network. The proposed system is evaluated using the OMNET++ network simulator and is compared to another existing system. The simulation results demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) in which moving nodes act as mobile-terminals as well as routing stations. These movements cause the change in the network topology. In this connection, route establishment is the primary task to initiate the communication between resources is very difficult due to their random movements. MANET flooding method is used for broadcasting route request (RREQ) packet from one node to another node for route discovery. This is the simplest method of broadcasting of RREQ packets but it often results in broadcast storm problem, originating collisions and congestion of packets in the network. The conventional routing protocol designed for MANET fail to handle dynamic movement and self-starting behavior of the node effectively. Most broadcast protocols are however only ever evaluated using simulations, which have repeatedly been shown to be unreliable, and potentially misleading. In this paper, a new routing algorithm named Binary Tree Structured based Network Approach using Depth Search (BTSNA-DS) for energy efficient path from sender to receiver is proposed. Finally, the performance Analysis of the proposed BTSNA-DS algorithm provide better performance compare to the existing Energy Efficient Neighbor Coverage Protocol (EENCP) and also improved the Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) with mobility, transmission range, and number of node is increased.
