“…For these LDHs, the diffraction peaks at 11.6, 23.3, 34.4, 38.9, 59.8, and 60.8° can be indexed to the (003), (006), (012), (015), (110), and (0015) planes of CoAl LDH (JCPDS no. 00-051-0045), , respectively. For Co LDH, the XRD pattern shows the diffraction features of the hydrotalcite-like phase with weak signal intensity.…”

“…This observation can be attributed to the weak acidity of Zn(Ac) 2 , which slowly corroded a portion of the Co metal and converted it to CoO at high temperature. Additionally, the evaporation of Zn species at high temperature reduced agglomeration and enhanced the contact between CoO and Co. 11 Subsequently, the ZIF-67/Co precursor with high yield was in situ grown via the coordination reaction between CoO/Co and 2-MI. The purpose of the in situ growth of ZIF-67 was not only to achieve uniform adsorption of Fe species, but also to increase the surface area of the final Fe-CoO/Co product, ultimately leading to the exposure of more active sites.…”

“…However, their exorbitant price, scarcity and unsatisfactory OER kinetics restrict their scale-up applications. [8][9][10][11][12] Therefore, massive efforts have been devoted to exploring alternative Earth-abundant metal electrocatalysts. In pursuit of this aim, transition metals (such as Fe, Co and Ni) and their compounds of oxides, nitrides, chalcogenides, phosphates and carbides have been demonstrated to show excellent electrocatalytic OER performance.…”
