Abstract: The antibacterial efficacy and specificity of lytic bacteriophages (phages) make them promising therapeutics for treatment of multidrug-resistant bacterial infections. Restricted penetration of phages through the protective matrix of biofilms, however, may limit their efficacy against biofilm infections.
