Energy Mix for Poland – Two Different Perspectives

Abstract: Streszczenie: Celem artykułu jest wskazanie dwóch odmiennych wizji rozwoju krajowego sektora energetycznego. Pierwsza z nich to model oparty na istniejących zasobach węgla kamiennego i brunatnego, uzupełniony technologiami alternatywnymi (wiatr, biomasa, energia jądrowa). Druga to model alternatywny, w którym uwzględniono ekonomiczne skutki emisji zanieczyszczeń gazowych. Jako narzędzie prognostyczne wykorzystany został matematyczny model optymalizacyjny. Obliczenia przeprowadzono dla dwóch scenariuszy: "bazow… Show more

“…While discussing the importance of biogas for energy security, two scenarios for the use of this raw material have been discussed. The second "scenario" assumes the use of biogas to partially cover the consumption of natural gas, an issue widely discussed in numerous publications [3,6,7]. In the first "scenario", it is assumed that the entire biogas production could be allocated to the production of electricity and heat (Figure 1).…”

“…Large hay resources are a sign of intensive livestock farming, which is a source of natural fertilizers used in the production of biogas. However, it should be remembered that the process of producing energy from biogas should take place in the context of understanding the system of links between technological, economic, social, and environmental conditions [6].…”
