Abstract:The energy loss and dielectric properties of a polymer polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) films was studied. The PMMA films were irradiated at a dose 8.5 kGy using the Co-60 source. The energy loss and dielectric properties of polymer films both before and after irradiation at room temperature have been studied. The dielectric constant of films after irradiation is found to be increased after irradiation this increase in the dielectric constant is mainly attributed to the creation of radiation induced charges in th… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
