Abstract. The hyperfine structure of the odd configurations 5d96p and 5dS6s6p was studied with laser optogalvanic spectroscopy and high resolution interferometry in a platinum hollow cathode. A parametric hyperfine structure analysis for the configurations (5d + 6s)96p with 10 excited odd-parity levels was performed for 195pt. We ol 1160(320) obtained one-electron hfs parameters, asd = 10 35600(5300) MHz and a°~ = 1300 (780) Recently, we demonstrated good consistency in Pt [13] and also in another 5d-element, i.e. Re [14], between the configuration IS and the theoretical values for the electron density at the nucleus, 4rcl if(0)I z, proportional to the field shift. As an extention of our IS study, here, we performed a parametric hfs analysis in the odd Pt configurations (5d + 6s)96p, i.e. 5d96p, 5d86s6p, 5d76sZ6p.
