Energy contents of some well-known solutions in teleparallel gravity

Abstract: In the context of teleparallel equivalent to General Relativity, we study energy and its relevant quantities for some well-known black hole solutions. For this purpose, we use the Hamiltonian approach which gives reasonable and interesting results. We find that our results of energy exactly coincide with several prescriptions in General Relativity. This supports the claim that different energy-momentum prescriptions can give identical results for a given spacetime. We also evaluate energy-momentum flux of thes… Show more

“…It is worth noting that different pseudotensors yield the same energy value for any metric of the Kerr-Schild class and also for solutions more general than those of the Kerr-Schild class (see [36][37][38]), for reviews and references). Moreover, the localization of energy-momentum has been studied in the context of teleparallel theory of gravitation whereby many similar results have been obtained [39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47].…”

“…An alternative option for avoiding the problem of the coordinate system dependence is provided by the teleparallel theory of gravity [51,52], whereby one notices the considerable similarity of results obtained by this approach with results achieved by using the energy-momentum complexes [53][54][55][56][57].…”

“…Contrary to the previous results, Gad explored the failure of these prescriptions to provide similar results in some specific examples of space-time [40][41][42][43]. The issue of energy localization has also been considered in the framework of teleparallel gravity [44][45][46][47][48][49]. It has been concluded in some recent works that the energy-momentum definitions are identical not only in GR but also in teleparallel gravity [48,50,51].…”
