Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction of Air Source Heat Pump for District Heating

Abstract: Using ASHP for space heating is an environmental solution. Based on the concept of Lorenz cycle, an ASHP is proposed. Taking a residential community as an example, this study proposes a thermodynamic model. Then, the energy consumption and carbon emission performance of the heating system are discussed. The results indicate that the primary energy consumption of ASHP is 13.45% less than the coal-fired boiler and the carbon emission reduces by 1203.6 tCO2.
