Abstract:Background: Endophytic actinomycetes, as emerging sources of bioactive metabolites, play a vital role in pharmaceutical development. Recent reports demonstrated that endophytic Streptomyces isolates could yield compounds with potent anticancer and antimicrobial properties that may be developed into chemotherapeutic drugs.
