Abstract:Endophthalmitis after vitreoretinal surgery is uncommon but one of the most serious complications associated with severe visual loss despite appropriate treatment. It can be diagnosed based on symptoms such as ocular pain, conjunctival hyperemia, corneal congestion, corneal edema, anterior chamber inflammation, hypopyon, and vitreous haziness.
