Endometriosis in Adolescents: A Systematic Review

Abstract: sis was first described in teenagers as early as the 1940s (4), early studies suggested that endometriosis was rare during adolescence (5). Since endometriosis can only be diagnosed at laparoscopy, the true prevalence of endometriosis among adolescents remains unknown.
