Endogenous phospholipase A2 inhibitors in snakes: a brief overview

Abstract: The blood plasma of numerous snake species naturally comprises endogenous phospholipase A2 inhibitors, which primarily neutralize toxic phospholipases A2 that may eventually reach their circulation.
