Abstract:External inflammatory resorption (EIR) is the pathological destruction of external radicular structures with a multifactorial etiology. Prompt diagnosis and meticulous intervention are obligatory to retain the salvageability of the tooth and to circumvent the premature loss of permanent dentition.
