In Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), lack of a fixed infrastructure, dynamic network topology, device mobility and data communication over wireless channels make the multi-hop routing a very challenging task. Due to mission-critical applications of MANET, dealing with these challenges through the design of a Quality of Service (QoS)-assured protocol is a substantial problem. Mobility in MANETs is commonly considered as a negative factor on quality, although we suggest that the right approach to mobility awareness using wisely selected metrics can lead to a robust and QoS-assured protocol. In this paper, we propose QMAR-AODV, a QoS-assured Mobility-Aware Routing protocol which is an optimized version of AODV protocol. We utilize a combination of stability and quality metrics including Mobility Ratio (MR(C,E)) between nodes in a route, Energy Efficiency and congestion load to choose the most stable and QoS-assured routes. Our simulation results show that QMAR-AODV protocol outperforms E2E-LREEMR and reduces route instability, end-to-end delay, data retransmissions and packet loss by 8.3% 10.9% 10.6% and 5.4 respectively, while increases data reception and network throughput by 5.1% and 4.8% respectively, compared to E2E-LREEMR routing protocol.

Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a self-configuring network of mobile nodes associated by wireless channel. The nodes are free to move arbitrarily anywhere in the network. Hence, lack of fixed infrastructure and host flexibility, providing secure communications is a big challenge. Because a temporary device recurrently joins or leaves a network, the authentication and security techniques should be equipped for the unorganised users. In cryptography it is ineffective if its key management is fragile. Key management is one of the vital aspects for security. Thus, the network's wireless topology may be disorganised and may adjust rapidly, the efficient-route is recognised using Multi-path AODV Routing-Protocol. The ID based SKMS (Secret Key Management Scheme) method is implemented in secured environment by using Rivest-Shamir Adleman (RSA) method and the Node ID based Secure Key Management Scheme (SKMS) mechanism for securing data packets from source to destination. The ID based is used to share secret key of an individual users. A multi-cast (AODV) group receiver or groupsource-key pair is conserved and recognised by an ID. Each clustering group has its own exclusive identity number. "ID based Multicast SKMS using RSA" method increase in packet delivery ratio (6%) along with the decrease in drop (5%), delay (8%), and energy consumption (6%) in secured ad-hoc environment.

Because the node energy and network resources in the wireless sensor network (WSN) are very finite, it is necessary to distribute data traffic reasonably and achieve network load balancing. Ad hoc on-demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV) is a widely used routing protocol in WSN, but it has some deficiencies: establishes the route by only using hop counts as the routing criterion without considering other factors such as energy consumption and network load; forwards route request in fixed delay resulting in building the nonoptimal path; and cannot update the path status after built paths. For the deficiency of AOMDV, this paper proposes a multipath routing protocol adaptive energy and queue AOMDV (AEQAOMDV) based on adaptively sensing node residual energy and buffer queue length. When sending a routing request, the forwarding delay of the routing request is adaptively adjusted by both the residual energy and the queue length of the intermediate node; when establishing routes, a fitness is defined as a routing criterion according to the link energy and the queue load, predicting the available duration of the node based on the energy consumption rate and adjusting the weight of the routing criterion by the available duration of the node; after the routes are established, the path information status are updated via periodically broadcasting Hello that carries the path information with the minimum fitness, making the source node update the path information periodically. By using NS-2, simulations demonstrate that compared with AOMDV, AEQAOMDV has obvious improvements in increasing packet delivery ratio, reducing network routing overhead, reducing route discovery frequency, and decreasing the network delay. And AEQAOMDV is more suitable for WSN.
