Abstract:The present study adress the issue of column shortening during the construction. These deformations are due to the progression of loads, due to creep and due to shrinkage. Shortenings cause displacements, that are partially compensated by the construction process, either the construction is performed with the floors executed at the design level, or the construction executed with fixed floor-to-floor dimension.
