Achieving success in one's career has numerous positive consequences for individuals as well as for organizations. This study examines the influence of emotional intelligence measures on career success. Also, using the broaden and build theory, we propose employee resilience as an underlying mechanism connecting emotional intelligence measures and career success. Data were collected from employees working in different IT organizations in India's northern region. Confirmatory factor analysis followed by path analysis using the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) method in AMOS was performed. Results found that all the emotional intelligence measures directly affect career success and employee resilience. For instance, the adaptability dimension had the most significant direct impact on career success, whereas the interpersonal dimension emerged as the leading predictor of resilience among all five emotional intelligence dimensions. In addition, employee resilience was identified as a partial mediator between all emotional intelligence measures and career success. The present study offers some insightful theoretical and practical implications.

This study investigates the emergence of intellectual opportunism for game boosters in mobile social networks. It shows the supply and demand for upgrading game levels in mobile social networks. These supply and lucrative demand highlight a new temporary profession as game boosters. Game boosters facilitate framed newbie gamers who want to play at a higher game level without playing for a long time. This emergence of professionally game boosters is due to economic opportunism, promising their potential future incomes. Moreover, opportunistic mobile social networks (OMSNs) support the muscular appearance of the game booster profession. On the other hand, this study demonstrates that mobile social networks exploit hedonistic human needs by reflecting their behaviour and social relationships when building efficient and trustworthy business contracts. This study presents uniqueness supported by critical reasoning. First, it shows that the game booster phenomenon has emerged as a contemporary profession in society, promising future cash inflows above the average salaries of typical jobs. Second, this research demonstrates the sequential logic of economic opportunities, intellectual opportunism, and mobile social networks, constructing game boosters’ income generating. Nevertheless, this study acknowledges that the game booster profession has low integrity due to its members’ inconsistent and unprincipled virtues.

This study investigates the students’ behaviour, especially regarding their cognitive and psychological endowments’ effect on their cognitive absorption, attachment comprehensivity, and learning achievement through various types of learning media. Specifically, it highlights that the resulting learning performance fundamentally starts from individual endowment positions, regardless of the available types of learning media. The authors find that the cognitive and psychological endowments’ functional superiority dominates the learning achievement compared to the MR role types. Furthermore, we demonstrate that individuals’ beliefs, attitudes, and behaviour are superior to their cognitive and psychological endowments because motivation, inner spirit, and faithfulness in appropriation defeat their material knowledge acquisition in their learning processes, such as absorption, achievement, and attachment. This research presents its novelty through learning attachment behaviour due to supremely personal psychological and cognitive endowment effects. Furthermore, the students with the highest negative experiences impact low absorption, comprehensive attachment, and learning achievement. Finally, the authors reveal that individually endowed mindsets and attitudes contribute to higher learning performance than the MR role types. Thus, it demonstrates that the MR role types produce a low incremental performance, which is nothing more than maximising valuable information.
