Encapsulation of Vitamins Using Nanoliposome: Recent Advances and Perspectives

Abstract: Nowadays the importance of vitamins is clear for everyone. However, many patients are suffering from insufficient intake of vitamins. Incomplete intake of different vitamins from food sources due to their destruction during food processing or decrease in their bioavailability when mixing with other food materials, are factors resulting in vitamin deficiency in the body. Therefore, various lipid based nanocarriers such as nanoliposomes were developed to increase the bioavailability of bioactive compounds. Since… Show more

“…Polymers also have a high potential for interacting with various drugs, solvents, and physiological agents. It should be emphasized that these abilities should be compatible with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic drugs [71,72] . All of the vital systems of the body, including cell membranes, are responsible for the exchange of ions, minerals, and nutrients in and out of the cell.…”

[71,72] All of the vital systems of the body, including cell membranes, are responsible for the exchange of ions, minerals, and nutrients in and out of the cell. These systems can function effectively in aqueous environments.…”

“…[9,10] Moreover, degradative enzymes, oxygen, temperature, light, moisture content, water activity, pH, and other factors can all contribute to the breakdown of biocomponents during the manufacturing, drug delivery, and storage phases. [11] Indeed, the scientific community highlighted that some changes must be made in drug design and development in order to enhance the targeting feature, stability, and solubility of valuable compounds. As a result, numerous delivery methods have been designed.…”

“…It is utilized in the pharmaceutical sector to make oral medication administration simple and absorption quick. In the meantime, it is used by the cosmetics sector to create personal care products that include active ingredients (whitening agents, sunscreens, moisturizers, and anti-aging creams) [2,11] .…”
