“…Stationary phases previously employed in chiral HPLC, such as CDs and their derivatives [37,38], macrocyclic antibiotics [39], proteins [26], polysaccharides [40][41][42], and ligand-exchange type selectors [43] (see Table 1) have been adapted for chiral CEC using packed capillary columns. Open-tubular capillary columns have been the less used for the enantiomeric separation of chiral compounds by CEC.…”

“…Several groups recently investigated polysaccharide derivative-based CSPs for chiral CEC separations in aqueous [514][515][516][517] or non-aqueous medium [518]. Several drug enantiomers were resolved on these phases.…”

“…The previous reports of CEC enantioseparations on this kind of coated CSPs were performed under the mobile phases of acetonitrile-water or pure methanol and ethanol systems [9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]. However, the typical mobile phase used for enantioseparations on polysaccharide derivative CSPs is the hexane-alcohol system according to the knowledge in HPLC [8].…”

“…Polysaccharide derivative-based chiral stationary phases (CSPs) have been shown the efficient chiral recognition ability for a variety of racemic compounds in HPLC and have been extensively studied [7,8]. Recently, polysaccharide derivatives were also applied as CSPs for CEC separation of enantiomers based on the open tubular and packed capillary columns [9][10][11][12]. For instance, capillary columns packed with cellulose tri (3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) and cellulose tri(3,5-dichlorophenylcarbamate) coated CSPs have been used for resolution of enantiomers by Chankvetadze et al [13][14][15][16][17], and the effect of the pore size of silica gel and the mobile phase composition on enantioseparations was systematically investigated.…”
