Abstract:Herein we report an unprecedented copper-catalyzed asymmetric anti-Markovnikov hydrosilylation of alkynes with dihydrosilanes for the synthesis of silicon-stereogenic alkenyl silanes in good regio- and enantioselectivities. Demonstrated by a diverse collection of substrates, the process grants access to chiral alkenylhydrosilanes with a simple Cu/(S)-Tol-BINAP catalytic system. The origin of the enantiocontrol was investigated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations, which revealed a quite complicated … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
