Abstract: Droplet formation via liquid–liquid phase separation is thought to be involved in the regulation of various biological processes, including enzymatic reactions. We investigated a glycolytic enzymatic reaction, the conversion of glucose‐6‐phosphate to 6‐phospho‐D‐glucono‐1,3‐lactone with concomitant reduction of NADP+ to NADPH both in the absence and presence of dynamically controlled liquid droplet formation.
