En bloc resection of diaphragm and liver tumours: An effective technique of diaphragmatic repair avoiding routine intercostal drain

Abstract: (21%). Postoperative 30 day mortality was 2%. Overall five year disease free survival was 30%. Significantly worse disease-free interval was found in patients with severe septic complications. Other, less serious complications also increase the risk of recurrence, but not statistically significantly. Conclusion: Severe septic complications has an adverse effect on the further course of the disease in terms of relapse.
