School students demonstrate a lack of interest in choosing science studies and science-related careers. To better understand the underlying reasons, this study aims to examine secondary school students' perceptions of working life skills and how these perceptions relate to the skills of the twenty-first century. The participants in this study were 144 Finnish 7th graders (aged 13-14 years). Using a questionnaire and qualitative content analysis, we examined their perceptions of working life skills in 'careers in science' and 'careers with science'. Results reveal that although students have a great deal of knowledge about working life skills, it is often just stereotyped. Sector-specific knowledge and skills were highlighted in particular but skills related to society, organisation, time and higher order thinking, were often omitted. Results also indicate that students do not associate 'careers in science' with creativity, innovation, collaboration or technology and ICT skills. Conversely, according to the students, these careers demand more sector-specific knowledge and responsibility than 'careers with science'. We conclude that students need more wide-ranging information about scientific careers and the competencies demanded; such information can be acquired by e.g. interacting with professionals and their real working life problems. The purpose of this paper is to explore and categorise, through a systematic research review, the key employability skills identified by researchers across the globe. This paper also aims to identify any similarities and differences present in employability skills demand of different sectors of industry or parts of the world. For the purpose of this study, 43 studies conducted across 17 countries were included and a systematic research review protocol was applied to develop categories. A vote-counting technique was used for the purpose of data analysis. The results revealed a set of employability skills commonly reported worldwide as important by all studies included in the review. These skills were further re-grouped under ten different skill sets. The findings of this study point to several implications for educators, employers, graduates and policy makers.

Provided the need to fill the gap between industry expectation and quality of management education, a study led to construction of a scale on Indian managers' perception towards the management education curriculum-An Exploratory Factor Analysis (Singh and Verma, 2018). Total four factors were obtained namely Improve performance and thinking ability, Leadership and functional competency, Personal competency development and collaboration attitude. This study is an extension with the detailed analysis of the variables that constitute the constructs of the scale to answer the research question that what role does the curriculum play in management education to enhance employability as skills needed by the industry. In addition the analysis has been extended to examine whether there is a significant difference between the perceptions of respondents across various sub groups based on age, experience, gender, etc. Total 137 executives' were included as sample for the study and they were well informed about the purpose of the study. Analysis has been done via descriptive statistics, ANOVA (analysis of variance), and independent sample t tests. Software tool employed for the purpose is SPSSv20.Findings indicate importance of aforesaid constructs in management education curriculum. Particularly the most important contributors in the scores are the variables like data management, managerial skills, decision making, basic knowledge, adaptive skills. Implications are for both industry and academia to design and execute right course contents in management education for budding managers. The study adds to dearth of literature on management education in Indian context.
