Empirical validation of energy-neutral operation on wearable devices by MISO beamforming of IEEE 802.11ac

Abstract: We propose an approach to energy-neutral operation by Wi-Fi beamforming for wearable devices to achieve energyneutral operation. We take advantage of the transmit beamforming feature of IEEE 802.11ac's multiple input, single output (MISO) structure to focus the transmit power to improve the transmission distance and the harvested power level.
