Empirical relations converting seismic intensity to moment magnitude

A probabilistic seismic hazard analysis was performed for İstanbul considering the seismotectonic structure of the region. Earthquakes that occur in seismic regions has the possibility of triggering each other to a certain extent, and this causes earthquakes to cluster in time and space. In this study, the Poisson model was preferred for probabilistic seismic hazard analysis. Conventional integration approach was adopted to calculate the hazard curves to describe the likelihood of exceeding ground motion in a particular period. This paper presents results on the impact of seismic hazard on structural performance of an existing masonry tower, by evaluating the seismic response for different levels of ground motions.

Mevcut Yığma Bir Yapının Sahaya Özgü Deprem Yer Hareketlerine Dayalı Dinamik Analizi

Sismik olarak aktif bölgelerde yer alan çok sayıda tarihi yığma anıta sahip ülkeler vardır ve bu yapıların korunması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu yapıların korunması ve bakımı kültürel, ekonomik ve sosyal bir ihtiyaç olduğundan, tarihi yığma yapıların sismik performansının değerlendirilmesi ele alınması gereken çok önemli bir konudur. Bu tür yapıların yatay deprem yükleri altındaki davranışı, dolgulu ve dolgusuz duvarların etkileşimi nedeniyle karmaşıktır. İstanbul'daki tarihi ve aletsel depremlerin ardından, bu yapıların deprem yüklerine karşı savunmasızlığını gösteren çok sayıda ciddi hasar ve göçme meydana geldiği görülmüştür. Bu çalışmanın amacı, İstanbul’ un Üsküdar semtinde bulunan Rumi Mehmed Paşa adlı tarihi bir kagir yapının sismik performansını araştırmaktadır. 3DEC programı kullanılarak tarihi yığma türbenin üç boyutlu Ayrık Eleman Modeli oluşturulmuştur. Bu tarihi yapının sismik performansını değerlendirmek için 2018 Türkiye Bina Deprem Yönetmeliği'ne uygun 11 deprem yer hareketi seçilmiş ve ölçeklendirilmiştir. Statik, modal ve birbirine dik iki yatay doğrultudaki deprem kayıtları altında doğrusal olmayan dinamik analizler yapılmıştır.
