The correlation between empathy and customer responses may be a key to solve the problem of classical furniture advertising design. To explore the relationship between empathy and consumer purchasing response, this study proposes a model of dual path mechanism of empathy influencing consumer purchase intentions in classical furniture through advertising design related to furniture brand Tanjuyuan. The results not only prove the hypotheses, but also indicate that: (1) cultural empathy and empathy fusion have a more significant impact on consumers’ purchase intention than practical empathy; (2) cultural empathy plays a dominant role in influencing consumers’ purchase intention; (3) empathy fusion is a key mediator between cultural empathy and practical empathy in influencing consumers’ purchase intention. These findings provide issues for subsequent research from various perspectives, such as enhancing the practical perceptions of consumers of classical furniture products, cultural value perceptions, and the interdisciplinary application of empathy.

As Taiwan’s population ages, the need for long-term care, such as home care, is increasing due to improved medical services and longer life expectancy; however, the current coverage rate for home care services is only 50%, highlighting the importance of retaining home care workers. This study applies job embeddedness, organizational commitment, and psychological safety as variables to explore the retention intention of Taiwan’s home care workers. A questionnaire survey was distributed among home care workers using convenience sampling, resulting in 547 collected questionnaires, of which 458 were valid. Data analysis was conducted with SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0, and a structural equation model (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses. Our findings suggest that job embeddedness has a positive impact on organizational commitment (γ = 0.649, γ = 0.607, and γ = 0.628; p < 0.001) and retention intention (γ = 0.253, γ = 0.242, γ = 0.271; p < 0.001), similar to organizational commitment (γ = 0.721, p < 0.001). Additionally, organizational commitment mediates job embeddedness and retention intention, while psychological safety moderated organizational commitment and retention intention (β = 0.639; p < 0.001). This study aims to provide information for the development of more effective human resource policies and contribute to practical advancements in the home care service environment and management structure of home care organizations. By analyzing and exploring the main factors contributing to home care workers’ retention intention, we hope to enhance the overall benefits of home service organizations and the industry.

Several product companies have turned to social media to analyze customer satisfaction and provide customer service to disgruntled customers. Product twitter handles are flooded with tweets every day. Customer service professionals struggle to find and resolve complaints from numerous tweets, which results in high wait times for a response, huge costs for the company, and frustrated customers. Automating customer services involves the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to emulate customer service offered by professionals. Pre-processing and deriving insights from real data are difficult and several start-ups cannot afford funds to maintain a data analysis team. Existing technologies for chatbots and analysis can be improved with new machine learning models, training existing models more and ensuring that responses generated resemble human interactions. BERT-CNN-BiLSTM modules were integrated into a model for sentiment analysis on scraped tweets from twitter using TWINT that achieved an accuracy of 96%. For the labeling and categorization of tweets, the logistic regression linear model achieved the highest accuracy of 97% compared to the other 3 classification models. For the automated chatbot, a model trained with BERT and open AI-GPT achieved an accuracy of 78%.
