Abstract:Fournier's gangrene and emphysematous pyelonephritis are rare necrotizing infections of the genitourinary system. Many cases of this rapidly progressive infection occur from abscesses and urinary tract infections; however, Fournier's gangrene secondary to emphysematous pyelonephritis is seldom discussed in the literature.
