The problem addressed in this study was teachers' lack of social and emotional intelligence skills. Teachers realized that some students have problems regulating emotions and need self-management skills with knowledge regarding social performance while respecting others. The strategic purpose of this study was to provide Emotional Intelligence (EI) training to teachers to build on the strengths of educators to gain self-confidence and identify self-management and social management contingencies. The main content of this qualitative narrative inquiry study aimed to understand how teachers describe the use of the four elements of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, selfmanagement, social awareness, and relationship management after EI training. This narrative inquiry study examined the educator's role with narrated feedback about experiences and participation with functionality in the classroom. Considering influences contributing to understanding dysfunctional elements that could hinder the progress or factors that could promote transformational learning. In this study, the small target population was eight teachers recruited in a private school using a purposeful sampling method to collect the data. Eight teachers received four intensive EI training lessons over two months. The impact of emotional intelligence training conveyed participants' opinions using semi-structured questionnaires with honest feedback. Teachers described emotional and social competencies through open-ended questionnaires and transcribed information during the interviews, enhancing accuracy. After EI training, teachers understood students better, which caused improved relationships, improved academic performance, and realized that emotional intelligence training is necessary. Teachers and students gained selfconfidence, reduced negative influences, and improved classroom accomplishment with inner transformation. Teachers could convey how personal changes regarding psychological knowledge and behavioral skills improved and notice how a shift occurred, causing better academic performance with higher grades. Teachers have reported experiencing and observing changes through reflexivity, promoting self-management with accountability, and raising responsibility, resulting in increased academic performance.

With the widespread use of smartphones, many people spend much time on smartphones for shopping, learning, socializing, and so on, which can affect an individual’s mental health and work performance. Especially, individual perceived conflict at work may increase their social anxiety and thus raise the risk of their smartphone addiction. This study collected data from 577 corporate employees in China through convenience sampling to explain the influence mechanism of work conflict on smartphone addiction and to verify the moderating role of rumination. Statistical results show that relationship conflicts, task conflicts, and process conflicts positively affect smartphone addiction by enhancing social anxiety. Moreover, rumination positively moderates the relationship between work conflict and smartphone addiction. People with high rumination are more likely to escape reality due to conflict at work, which further enhances their smartphone addiction behaviors. Our study suggests that a relatively harmonious working atmosphere should be established within organizations, especially for employees with rumination. Work conflict is a predisposing factor for social anxiety and smartphone addiction in individuals with high rumination.

Resumen: Este artículo trata de aportar una visión de conjunto que ayude a contextualizar las principales esferas en la que está implícita la inteligencia emocional. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue, aportar hallazgos relevantes de la inteligencia emocional en diversos ámbitos. Por tanto, se abordó: el área educativa, psicopatológica, y de satisfacción laboral. La metodología está basada en revisiones teóricas de bases científicas de alto impacto, revistas: WOS, Scopus, y revistas catálogo 2.0. Por medio de un análisis minucioso del: conocimiento, habilidades, y rasgos como componentes esenciales de la inteligencia emocional. Entre los resultados se encontró que la IE tiene una connotación tanto social como emocional. Por otra parte, las habilidades sociales compuestas por: autoconciencia, autorregulación, motivación, habilidades sociales están basadas en empatía. Se concluye que, el rol fundamental de la regulación de emociones como rasgos de personalidad, pueden influir en el cotidiano de las personas, en los ámbitos: educativo, salud mental, y satisfacción laboral.
