Abstract: Bilirubin oxidases (BODs) are enzymes that belong to the multicopper oxidase family and can oxidize bilirubin, diphenols, and aryl amines and reduce the oxygen by direct fourelectron transfer from the electrode with almost no electrochemical overpotential.
