MedieKultur 2012, 52, 132-152 I denne artikel vil jeg ud fra et medialiseringsperspektiv på sociale medier, der spørger til, hvordan de fremmer en saerlig netvaerkssocialitet (Jensen, 2009;Taekke, 2010a/b) og -kommunikation (Miller, 2008 (Miller, 2004;Butler, 2005), dels eksisterende undersø-gelser af relaterede aspekter såsom sammensaetningen af de personlige netvaerk ("vennelister")
og graden af åbenhed og adgang til de personlige profiler ("privathed"). Mens hervaerende undersøgelse i grove traek bekraefter forskningslitteraturen på disse felter, så er de ikke før dokumenteret (og nuanceret) i en dansk sammenhaeng. Artiklens vaesentligste bidrag ligger dog i identificeringen af de tre kommunikative dilemmaer og i forbindelse hermed en forsøgsvis genrebestemmelse af statusopdateringen og en tematisering af den implicitte sociale regulering og etik, hvilket ikke har vaeret gjort før.Facebook er i dag oppe på godt 900 mio. brugere på verdensplan, heraf godt 2, 8 mio. brugere i Danmark (www.facebook.com), hvor Facebook er den største sociale netvaerksside.
