Abstract:Introduction: Methicillin-resistant and -susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA /MSSA) infections are a major global healthcare problem. Bacteremia with S. aureus, exhibits high rates of morbidity and mortality and can cause complicated infections such as infective endocarditis (IE).
