Emerging Group B Streptococcus Infection

Abstract: Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) from Streptococcus agalactiae (GBS) and toxic shock-like syndrome (TSLS) are rare entities that have yet to be described in a burn patient. We report the case of a patient with 72% total body surface area burn that simultaneously developed GBS NF and TSLS. Aggressive measures were required for complete recovery.
