Abstract: Topiramate, a second-generation antiepileptic drug used to manage and treat epileptic seizures was approved by the FDA in 1996 as a solo or supplementary for the therapy of epilepsy. The frequency, severity, quality of life, and adverse events that topiramate has on epilepsy patients, including children and adolescents, are summarized in this review.
