Emergency Surgical Treatment in Primary Cerebral Hydatid Cyst: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

Abstract: Hydatid cyst accounts for 3% to 4% of all intracranial lesions. The initial diagnosis is typically based on clinical suspicion, usually with a patient history of having traveled to a region where it is endemic or living in contact with cattle or dogs, and the diagnosis is confirmed with serological tests and imaging.
