“…For the first time, our study has shown that conducting gestures involved the same dorsal frontotemporal systems as language (Saur et al, 2008; Weiller et al, 2021), sign language (Campbell et al, 2008) and other meaningful behaviours (Musso et al, 2015; Zatorre et al, 2007), which span from the automatic sensorimotor mapping (the system centred on vPMC) to the highest hierarchical level of human action organisation (the system centred on F3op) (Brauer et al, 2013).
