Los deslizamientos de tierra, desencadenados por intensas lluvias, constituyen desastres naturales de alcance global que provocan estragos en personas e infraestructuras. Es crucial desarrollar sistemas predictivos y alertas eficaces, incorporando tecnologías como el Internet de las cosas (IoT) para recopilar datos ambientales y prevenir pérdidas significativas. Por lo tanto, el objetivo del estudio fue diseñar y desarrollar un sistema de alerta temprana para deslizamientos de tierra, utilizando una red inalámbrica de sensores y microcontroladores. Se emplearon un pluviómetro digital de balancín y los sensores MPU 6050, DHT22 y FC-28. Estos sensores fueron distribuidos en nodos a lo largo de la Quebrada del Diablo en la ciudad de Tacna. Los valores capturados en cada nodo fueron procesados por la placa de desarrollo DEVKIT V1 NodeMCU-32, basada en el microcontrolador ESP32, y transmitidos hacia un nodo central mediante una red malla ZigBee utilizando dispositivos XBee3 de Digi. El nodo central se conectó a la nube Blynk a través de WiFi para monitorizar los valores registrados en cada ubicación. En caso de una condición de alerta, el nodo de alarma se activa de forma remota, facilitando la evacuación de personas en riesgo. La funcionalidad de la red inalámbrica de sensores se verificó mediante la medición del RSSI, y se demostró la eficacia del registro de datos en el nodo central y la activación remota de la alarma.

A reliable streaming of sensor data is very critical for a disaster management application like forest fire detection and landslide early warning system. It becomes challenging especially when it is deployed in a remote location [1,2]. The size of the data has to be accounted when transmitted through a communication module, since the bandwidth of the module is fixed. Also, there can be data loss, when the CPU of the processor is allocated with several processing tasks on complex signal processing algorithms. This is because the microcontroller executes the code in the sequentially and ADC need to wait until the microcontroller reads the value from the output register of ADC. Since every data is very crucial in disaster management, we cannot afford to lose data. The selection of an embedded processor or a controller plays a significant role in designing an efficient system. Conventionally, general processors [3] are used in most of the applications due its low cost, ease of implementation, and availability. Some of the high-end processors has DMA features and can run at high speed.PSoC series is likewise an alternative that simplify large portion of novel preference which is further useful for researchers, designers, developers, and engineers to facilitate their works. In the COVID-19 era, technology is being implemented in a rigorous manner to handle and balance the situation. Internet of Things (IoT) technology is playing a great role in all the aspects. In this research paper researcher compare four hardware platforms and concluded the best suitability of the hardware platform. Researchers provide the solution to the technological thrust for the IoT in terms of the hardware platform.
