Elucidation of the genetic mechanisms contributing to moenomycin resistance in actinobacteria

Abstract: Aim. Moenomycins are phosphoglycolipid antibiotics produced almost exclusively by representatives of genus Streptomyces. These antibiotics directly inhibit peptidoglycan glycosyltransferases and are extremely active against cocci.
