Elucidation of secondary alcohol metabolism in Starmerella bombicola and contribution of primary alcohol oxidase FAO1

Abstract: The yeast Starmerella bombicola NBRC10243 is an excellent producer of sophorolipids, which are among the most useful biosurfactants.
