ELMO1 Deficiency Reduces Neutrophil Chemotaxis in Murine Peritonitis

Abstract: Peritoneal inflammation remains a major cause of treatment failure in patients with kidney failure who receive peritoneal dialysis. Peritoneal inflammation is characterized by an increase in neutrophil infiltration. However, the molecular mechanisms that control neutrophil recruitment in peritonitis are not fully understood.
