Elevated Plasma X-Linked Neuroligin 4 Expression Is Associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract: Highlights of the Study • This is the first study of a possible correlation between plasma neuroligin 4 (NLGN4) and autism severity. • Increased plasma levels of NLGN4 suggest that it may play a role in the pathogenesis of autism. • NLGN4 could possibly be a valuable biomarker for autism.
