Elevated levels of T-cell immune response cDNA 7 in patients with immune thrombocytopenia

Abstract: TIRC7 might be associated with the pathogenesis of ITP, and TIRC7 levels could be used as an indicator to evaluate patients' response to HD-DXM treatment.

“…TIRC7 is expressed in immune organs, such as the spleen, and in T and B lymphocytes, playing a vital role in kidney and cardiac transplantation, as well as in collagen-induced arthritis (8,9,11,12). Our previous study revealed that TIRC7 may be involved in the pathogenesis of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and may serve as an indicator for evaluating the efficacy of ITP treatment (13). In addition, TIRC7 plays a central role in allograft rejection and inflammation (14).…”

“…Meanwhile, some studies have also documented the importance of TIRC7 on some autoimmune diseases [16]; nevertheless, there were few relevant reports of TIRC7 in hematological diseases. We have previously documented that TIRC7 might be associated with the pathogenesis of immune thrombocytopenia and TIRC7 levels could be used as an indicator to evaluate patients' response to high-dose dexamethasone treatment [17]. We also showed that TIRC7 levels in patients with I-II acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) were lower than that with III-IV aGVHD before or after treatment and its level in aGVHD might reflect the treatment efficacy [18].…”

“…RT-qPCR to measure TIRC7 and CTLA-4. RT-qPCR analysis was performed as previously described (12). RNA was extracted from the peripheral blood of patients using Ficoll-Paque Plus (Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd.) and reverse transcribed to cDNA using a PrimeScript RT kit (Takara Bio, Inc.) according to the manufacturer's protocols.…”
