Elevated calprotectin levels reveal bowel inflammation in spondyloarthritis

Abstract: IntroductionMicroscopic bowel inflammation is present in up to 50% of patients with spondyloarthritis (SpA) and is associated with more severe disease. Currently no reliable biomarkers exist to identify patients at risk.
