The compositions found mainly copper, with lead or zinc as the second most common element, and mixtures comprising the remaining metals at trace levels indicated that these coins were, in fact, Korean, but due to their distinctly different chemical compositions, they were manufactured in a variety of locations, and in several cases were neither brass nor bronze.…”
